Having contributed significantly to various schools from the funds he obtained during his Roman education, he played a pivotal role in the church’s activities. Born in 1761, he returned to Kerala from Rome and later generously contributed to the Arakkuzha Church. His benevolence extended to other regions as well, making him a significant figure in the church’s history. The Arakkuzha Church witnessed substantial gatherings during the 40th Friday and the Sorrowful Friday celebrations, thanks to Joseph Malpan’s philanthropic efforts. His legacy lives on, commemorated in the church’s records as a testament to his dedication.
