St. Joseph LP School Arakuzha

Established in 1895, the Arakkuzha monastery school, initiated by Venerable Bahuleya Puliakkal, began with local resistance. By April 1895, the school, led by Mathai Achayan, started educating girls. Over the years, it expanded, gaining government recognition in 1947. In 1950. The school celebrated its golden jubilee in 1965, transitioned to CMC Sisters in 2008, and marked its centenary in 2015. In 2019, it received official recognition as a mixed school by the government.

St. Joseph High School Arakuzha

Carmelita Convent

Over the years, it expanded, gaining government recognition in 1947. In 1950, high school was completed, and in 1951, the first SSLC batch appeared. The school celebrated its golden jubilee in 1965, transitioned to CMC Sisters in 2008, and marked its centenary in 2015. In 2019, it received official recognition as a mixed school by the government.

St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School Arakuzha

In 1997, Kerala government, led by Education Minister Bahuleya Abraham Puliakkal, permitted high schools, like St. Mary’s in Arakkuzha, to establish Plus Two classes, marking a millennium event. The new building, funded by global associations, was inaugurated in 1998, celebrating its official opening on January

23, 1999. St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, a result of Bahuleya’s dedication, thrives with community support, contributing to literacy and pride in Arakkuzha.

S.H.Hospital (Dharmagiri)

MSJ Congregation

Honorable Cheriyan Pulikkal Achan, who came as the vicar of the Arakuzha church, gave a small building on the cross where the Dharmagiri Mutt now sits for running the hospital on November 19, 1960, with the intention of getting the services of dharmagiri people to his parishioners. From June 1971 onwards, they started operations here under the leadership of a doctor.
